It Is Our Light, Not Our Darkness That Most Frightens Us

“It Is Our Light, Not Our Darkness That Most Frightens Us.”imagesCAHFUJL4

— Marianne Williamson

Why would I be afraid of my light?  Why would I be afraid to be happy, brilliant, successful, wealthy, talented, loved and loving?

If it’s true  we are source manifesting on this earth.  And, if it’s true  we are born total and complete, lacking nothing.  Then how did I get to the point where I think I’m not good enough?  That I have to try.  Try to be loved, try to be accepted, try to be successful.

The psychologists tell us  somewhere along the way – most likely when we were very young – we were given messages  we are somehow flawed.  Well meaning parents, teachers, relatives, friends all contributed to our view of ourselves and the world.  So now what?  Am I just stuck with this programming?  Absolutely not.  That is, unless you like being stuck.  You are the chooser.

Remember as you shine your light, you motivate others to do the same.  We are all in this together.  As we become liberated from our fears, we liberate others.  We are one.

For some inspiration check out the song, Lila, by Rodello’s Machine.  For the link to YouTube click here.  Here are the lyrics:

Lila I sing this song for you, your beautiful even when your down. Know this and never talk yourself out of it.

Lila it’s all inside your head, Eleanor Roosevelt said ” no one can make you feel inferior without your consent”

So let your light shine, without holding it in
love yourself and don’t give in
and when you feel the harmony
smile with suns of the galaxies

Lila your perfect like you are
A sublime creation, but you play yourself small
Such a waste, such a waste of your beauty girl

Lila the key to it is you
Turn it when you feel it’s true
and never look back

And let your light shine, without holding it in
love yourself and don’t give in
and when you feel the harmony
smile with suns of the galaxies
