“If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind.” — Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
Isn’t it the greatest thing when you come up with really good ideas or finally see something for the first time? We can have moments of feeling really in touch with something larger than ourselves. Oh yea! Look at that! The world sort of opens – becomes more expansive and so do we.
Ever wonder where those ahas come from. Well, it could be divine grace? It could be the culmination of a lot of study or contemplation? It could be great teachers who have planted lots of seeds in our minds over the years? I read a lot of ancient wisdom, the seeds just sort of feel good as they settle into the fertile soil of my endlessly curious mind. Or, maybe it’s a combination of lots of different things.
Learning, forgetting, re-learning – it’s all a part of our journey here – our part in this dance of life. We are each a part of some sort of whole. As we learn and change and rest more in love as a state of being, we do our part. Nothing more required, really. We are all learning to just rest easy – be at peace inside and simply be our beautiful, unique selves.
