Something That Will Dazzle the World

“You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world. Show that God’s creative principle works in you.” – Paramahansa Yogananda

When we can let go, have fun and create, the world just seems a little lighter.  Yogananda says it’s God’s creative principle at work.  Clearly, you can substitute any word you like for the transcendent.  Creativity is just plain fun – maybe because we are in accord with god/universe/source/ creator and it feels like home?

Some people tell me they are not creative.  We are all creative because we all are god in drag as Chopra and Ram Dass say.  God – the divine – in drag – dressed up as a human being.  I think some people simply don’t recognize creativity when they see it.  Artists are clearly creative.  So are the rest of us.  We use creativity to live our daily lives.  Parents, children, teachers, workers, you can add to the list, are all very creative in the course of each day.

Do “something that will dazzle the world.”  My aunt dazzled me with her coconut cream pie.  That woman was an amazing pie baker!  My grandchildren dazzle me with their brilliance.  A friend dazzles me with her humor, she can brighten even the darkest days.  You see?  We all are expressing our gifts in the world.

So, consider doing “something that nobody else has done” – you might be surprised just how much fun you will have!

Peace.
