Where the Light Enters You

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” – Rumi

I guess we have all been wounded as we’ve walked through our lifetime in this material plane.  It feels like it’s all just set up that way.  Sometimes we inflict wounds on ourselves.  Sounds masochistic.  Actually, it’s just life.  We think we are invincible or all powerful and make some poor choices.  We can find ourselves way down the wrong path looking at a diagnosis that frightens us.  Or, an empty life.

The people we love the most are in the perfect position to cause us pain.  We are open, vulnerable with them.  They know where we live.  Relationship is a rich learning ground.   And, can be a very enriching part of life.  Two sides to the same coin.

Careers for most of us have their ups and downs.

Rumi says:  “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”  That puts a whole new twist on things, doesn’t it?  And, in my own experience it’s very true.   Sometimes the universe/source/creator/god just has to get our attention.  Wake up!  Time for a choice adjustment.  Time to learn the lesson, slay the dragon, leave the dark and re-enter the world a lighter you.

Peace.

  2. Yes, there are always messages and wake up calls in life … we just have to be open to receive them right? Thanks for the post 🙂
