“Reach high, for stars lie hidden in you. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.” – Tagore
It seems to me we limit ourselves. We simply don’t dream often enough. When you think about it, we have the ability to dream about anything. Day dreams are fun. Sometimes we have dreams and then set them aside because we get caught in the “how.” Or, our dreams aren’t “big” enough because we censor ourselves. It’s best to leave the “how” to universe/god/creator/source/your own word. Just dream. That’s your own special gift to the world.
Years ago I participated in a workshop where we were instructed to write down our dreams in the categories of relationship, career, finances, leisure and retirement. You may like these categories or you may want different ones or none at all. We were instructed not to consider whether our dreams were realistic – just to have fun dreaming the most outlandish, but real for us, things we had ever considered. I kept my dream lists over the years. Here’s the thing. I actually did everything on the list! The last thing on the original list I made 30 years ago was to publish a book which I did earlier this year.
Over the years I’ve added to my dream list. It’s actually a lot of fun. You might want to consider giving it a try. If you do, remember:
“Reach high, for the stars lie hidden in you. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.”
